Seeking a PRODUCTION ASSISTANT for campy surreal horror film, "Madame de Void" by two visual artists Felix Bernstein and Gabe Rubin in the style of Fassbinder and Lynch. Tells the story of a cruel fashion designer who falls in love with a puppy she is preparing to slaughter. Rubin and Bernstein have presented work at MOCA Los Angeles, the Whitney Museum of American Art, MIX NYC, Issue Project Room, and the Brooklyn Film Festival. Bernstein is the author of Notes on Post-Conceptual Poetry (Insert Blanc Press) and Burn Book (Nightboat). Rubin and Bernstein most recently collaborated on the production "Bieber Bathos Elegy" at the Whitney Museum in January 2016. Their work has been featured in Artforum, the Village Voice, the New York Times, Flash Art, Bomb, Huffington Post, and Texte Zur Kunst.
Should be a great experience if you are interested in experimental visual art, gallery art, multimedia art, performance art, experimental theater, and horror films.
Shooting will occur between July 28 and August 10th. Food and transportation will always be provided. Weekends are off.
