For Summer 2018, AroundCampus anticipates hiring 15 Project Design Specialists to assist Design Managers in preparing advertorial artwork and press layouts for our student publications. Each Project Design Specialist (PDS) will be assigned approximately 12 projects to see through the end of our summer publication cycle. The PDS will be responsible for designing original advertisements, revising existing customer artwork, ensuring all artwork is high quality and meets company standards, maintaining our customer logo databases, laying out some sections of the publication, and proofing drafts before press deadlines.
PDSs will work alongside one another and be a part of a cross-departmental team, working in conjunction with Customer Relations Interns to meet client needs and attain approval. AroundCampus utilizes NetSuite, a popular CRM platform, to store client information and manage task allocation, which all interns will receive extensive training on.
This is a fast-paced, deadline-focused internship – you will not be fetching coffee except for yourself! All Production positions require strong organizational skills, a detail-oriented mind, multi-tasking abilities, self-motivation, and a solutions-focused attitude. Strong verbal, interpersonal, and written communication skills are a must. Designers must have intermediate-to-advanced Photoshop skills, and should be at least familiar with using InDesign and Illustrator; all three programs will factor heavily into our workflow. Interns should also be comfortable working on Apple computers.
To apply, fill out our application form and submit your resume, cover letter, and portfolio for review.
